Can you tell me more about this program?
Yes, the program's mission is to train empathetic physicians who apply evidence-based principles and work collaboratively and compassionately to address the unique needs of each patient to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Baptist's OB/GYN Residency Program provides both practical and academic training in a specialty hospital setting. Staffed by faculty who are experts in their fields, residents will have access to a wealth of clinical, research and one-on-one mentoring opportunities.
Because Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women is in a large urban area and serves as a regional referral center for high-risk deliveries, residents will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience with routine and complex pregnancies. They will also participate in advanced and minimally invasive procedures and be trained to use traditional and leading-edge techniques and equipment, including robotic surgical systems.
Through mentoring and clinical and investigative research opportunities, residents will develop advanced skills and be prepared for any future endeavors, including general practice, an academic career or a specialty fellowship.
