Why OB/GYN?  Women’s health allows me to enjoy all aspects of medicine. The versatility of surgery, primary care, public health and the thrill of the labor and delivery department make this the most exciting specialty, in my opinion. I also get the privilege to follow the care of women and their families throughout their lives, cultivating lasting relationships with my patients. Serving women of the community by improving their access to care, their healthcare outcomes, and eliminating health disparities are things that I value above all else and why I wanted to be a physician in the first place. I have also set a goal to eventually teach future healthcare providers and hopefully inspire the next generation of OBGYN professionals.

What do you like to do outside the medical field: I love to go on adventures with my husband and children. Whether it is checking out a new local coffee shop, hiking, or traveling to far off places, spending time with my family brings me so much joy. I also love long distance running, watching Ted Lasso and the Crown, and hosting game nights with friends.

Things that no one knows about you but you don’t mind letting people know: I de-stress by doing laundry. There is great satisfaction in pulling out freshly dried towels and having figured out the mystery of folding fitted sheets.
